Kasey and I teamed up again to raise funds for something dear to our heart, Relay for Life. We participated along with a GCPS Elementary School Junior Beta Club and sold baked goods. All of the proceeds went to RFL. Kasey and I both participated in the Gwinnett County RFL in support of friends and family that have been touched by cancer. I've included a list of those we honor for their memorable courage against cancer, and those that we continue to cheer for as they faithfully and courageously continue the battle.

While at the event we were happy to run into Janelle, Mrs. Gwinnett County USA, who fights for another cause near to my heart as well, girls self-esteem. You can learn more about Janelle's efforts to mold girls into self-confident leaders in my July 11 &22 Roots & Wings Camp blog entry .
